Schafferu0027s Mill is seeking a Server Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.Pay Rate:$16.90 per hour General Purpose:Serves guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Essential Duties:Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seatingDescribe specials of the day to guests; answer questions regarding any menu item and offer suggestions when appropriateTake food and beverage orders from guests and deliver food promptly after preparationFollow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish items as neededParticipate in pre-shift meetings and taste testsMaintain an organized workstation and side work dutiesAccountable for checks and cash transactions; utilize Point of Sale systemFollow established systems for taking, placing, and delivering ordersFollow established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniquesPractice tray service for all food and beverage serviceIncorporate safe work practices in job performanceRegular and reliable attendancePerform other duties as required Education/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Demands:Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches; talks or hears. Occasionally sits; climbs or balances. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Environment/Noise:Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate. Certificates/Licenses:Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training. Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associate may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; manuals for the equipment the associate may use are in English)Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beveragesKnowledge of POS system
