Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Tacoma, Washington. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, contributing to the smooth financial operations of our organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Review, verify, and process invoices while ensuring proper coding and compliance with company policies. u2022 Perform regular check runs to ensure timely payment to vendors. u2022 Accurately code invoices and resolve any discrepancies or errors. u2022 Maintain organized records of invoices and payments for auditing purposes. u2022 Assist in reconciling accounts payable transactions and resolving outstanding balances. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to address payment inquiries and issues. u2022 Monitor accounts payable aging reports to prioritize and manage payments. u2022 Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies in all accounts payable activities. u2022 Support month-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports and documentation. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles. u2022 Proficiency in coding invoices and managing check runs. u2022 Strong knowledge of invoice processing and reconciliation. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software and tools. u2022 Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
