Equipment ExtractionsTechnicians are responsible for safely and efficiently removing commercial fitness equipment from various facilities, including gyms, schools, universities, hospitals, hotels, government buildings, and private training centers.Key responsibilities include:- Executing extractions in a clean, organized, and professional manner- Protecting client property, including walls, flooring, stairways, and entry points- Assessing equipment for safe removal and determining when disassembly is required- Disassembling equipment when necessary to navigate tight spaces or reduce weightDisassembly procedures must be performed with precision and include:- Clearly labeling each machine- Labeling all removed components- Organizing and bagging hardware with accurate identification to ensure proper reassemblyTypical Extraction Workflow:- Travel to job sites (often 2--4 hours each way; drive time is compensated)- Perform extraction work ranging from 4 to 10 hours- Return travel to the facility the same day- Assist with unloading equipment at the warehouse on the following workday2. Equipment Service (In-House & On-Site)Technicians are responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide variety of commercial fitness equipment, both in-house and at customer locations.Equipment includes:- Cardio machines such as treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and stepmills- Strength equipment including selectorized and plate-loaded machines- Benches and general fitness accessoriesPrimary duties include:- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues- Performing preventative maintenance- Conducting repairs and part replacements- Utilizing technical manuals and independent research to solve complex issues- Continuously learning and improving technical knowledge through hands-on experience3. Shipping & LogisticsThis role requires involvement in the preparation, packaging, and loading of equipment for various types of transportation.Responsibilities include:- Preparing equipment for freight and international shipping- Crating, palletizing, and securing items for safe transit- Loading customer vehicles and company trucks- Disassembling equipment to meet shipping size constraints when necessary- Carefully packaging sensitive electronic components such as consoles, control boards, d splays, and wiring- Accurately labeling all machines, parts, and hardwareTechnicians must also:- Plan and optimize truck and container loads efficiently- Think strategically about space utilization, similar to solving a spatial puzzle- Ensure loads are stable, balanced, and secure4. Parts Disassembly, Testing & RefurbishmentTechnicians play a key role in maximizing equipment value by identifying and processing reusable parts.Responsibilities include:- Disassembling equipment for parts recovery- Identifying components that can be reused, refurbished, or sold- Testing parts for functionality and reliability- Cleaning and refurbishing parts when applicable- Labeling and organizing parts for accurate inventory tracking- Packaging parts for shipment or storing them appropriately in inventoryMaintaining an organized parts system is essential to supporting efficient service operations and accurate inventory management.5.
