Position Overview The Technical Specialist is responsible for the technical set up and operation of enhanced mid-level production events in a hospitality environment, while ensuring the utmost in client satisfaction. This position reports to an Associate Director of Project Management or Director of Project Management in their assigned area. Key Job Responsibilities _Equipment Operation_ u2022 Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of advanced audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section. u2022 Troubleshoots technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise. u2022 Complies with all Company security and safety measures. u2022 Ensures equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use. _Customer Service_ u2022 Provides excellent service and strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers. u2022 Maintains a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication. u2022 Collaborates with internal team on event solutions pre-event and during event to ensure the best possible customer satisfaction. u2022 Understands and fosters the hotel/client relationship. _Training/Staff Development_ u2022 Creates an atmosphere that fosters the development of technical and leadership skills in other employees. u2022 Provides mentorship and coaching to technical, sales and operations team members to develop technical skills as needed. u2022 Develops self as subject matter expert in discipline of specialty. u2022 Stays current with technology and industry trends. _Event Supervision_ u2022 Performs advanced work (pre/during/post event) with operations team members. u2022 Supervises and directs other technicians during an event. _Equipment Maintenance_ u2022 Assists team with proper security, storage, inventory, transportation, and maintenance of equipment. u2022 Performs inventory and forecasting of equipment needs. Job Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree is preferred u2022 3+ years of event technology experience with specialty in Audio, Lighting, Projection, or Video is required u2022 3-4 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. u2022 External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications required for this position, within 60 days of start date.
