JOB SUMMARYThe Adventure Course Attendant is responsible for ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children participating in the Camp Sisol adventure-based play areas, including climbing structures, obstacle courses, and outdoor activity zones. This role oversees daily operations of the adventure course, assists children as they navigate equipment, and ensures all safety protocols are always followed. The Attendant encourages active play, supports skill-building and confidence, and promotes positive social interactions among children. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvide continuous supervision of participants as they climb in the Adventure Course.Encourage participation in physical activities that promote gross-motor development, confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving municate effectively the safety instructions.Ensure participants follow safety guidelines appropriate for their age and developmental level.Ensure participants correctly wear required protective gear such as harnesses and helmets, providing hands-on assistance as municate effectively with staff and leadership regarding child behavior, safety concerns, or incidents.Implement positive behavior management techniques and safety regulations.Maintain the safety of the structure, equipment and participants.Report all concerns and incidents to the supervisor.OTHER DUTIES Performs all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEAt least 18 years of age.High school diplomas or equivalent required.One year of experience working with children less than 13 years of age preferred.Experience working in an outdoor athletic capacity. Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESDemonstrate professionalism, collaboration, reliability, and a strong commitment to early childhood education. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
