Lancesoft is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an exciting Travel Allied job in Bethel, AK. Shift: 5x8 hr days Start Date: ASAP Duration: 26 weeks Pay: $3877 / Week Position Summary:Provides full-time, qualityoutpatient and inpatient physical therapy care. Treats all patient ageranges and diagnoses within the State of Alaska’s physical therapy scopeof practice. Incorporates evidenced-based medicine into patient plansof care. Exemplifies professional conduct, patient care ethics andrespect for cultural diversity when rendering patient care. Modifiespatient care plans appropriately, using age specific and patientspecific considerations. Supports the Yukon Kuskokwim HealthCorporation’s mission statement.Position Qualifications:Must have Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited program in Physical Therapy.No minimum clinical experience required. Hospital-based experience helpful.Must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist,or have all appropriate FSBPT paperwork completed to work as a StudentPhysical Therapist postgraduation while studying to take the licensureexam.Current BLS.Hospital based: Standard Physical Therapy Department environmentincludes hi-lo table, whirlpool, therapeutic exercise equipment,ultrasound and electric stimulation modalities, etc.Village-based: Usually a treatment table is provided. Therapistsbring out what is needed for patient care (theraband, exercise programs,etc.).Ability to read, analyze, and interpret physical therapy periodicalsand medical literature. Ability to compose patient care documentationand medical correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively withmedical staff, peers and administrative personnel. Ability tocommunicate effectively with members of a different culture who may ormay not speak English.Ability to operate a personal computer including basic MS Officeprograms and e-mail. Ability to utilize the internet to access medicalliterature beneficial to patient care.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units ofmeasure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability tocompute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety ofconcrete variables in situations where only limited standardizationexists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished inwritten, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
