SUMMARY: The overall responsibility of an Assistant Manager is the operation of a Bruster’s Real Ice Cream store in the absence of the General Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. In fulfilling this responsibility the Assistant Manager has several functions, the mostimportant of which is to oversee the “front of the store”. The Assistant Manager is alsoresponsible for staff, paperwok and must have an overall working knowledge of thewhole Bruster’s store operation. A. Oversee Front of the Store 1. Ensure Customer Satisfaction - served in appropriate time usingproper customer service skills2. Product Quality Checks - check procedures/weights/sizes of products3. Provide customer service as needed B. Staff Issues - ensuring proper dress code is followed and promote positiveemployee morale C. Completing Paperwork - complete all paperwork as required by companyand to ensure government compliance; complete banking procedures asnecessary D. Store Operation 1. Perform register maintenance and upkeep2. Possess knowledge of building & equipment3. Possess cake & pie know-how4. Ensure proper cleaning procedures are being followed SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Employee will provide leadership to staff on afrequent basis. Supervisory skills are required. The employee also frequently comes into contactwith hot water while cleaning and sanitizing tools and containers, and the extreme heatof the waffle iron while baking waffle cones. The noise level in this work environment isusually moderate and occasionally loud.
