Job Description As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, activating production tools, and creating launch pads and recovery systems. You will design and analyze mechanical systems for these purposes and demonstrate complete end-to-end project ownership. This includes coordinating the build, testing, and activation of the hardware you design. You will work closely with launch operations teams to ensure that the products delivered meet form, function, and aesthetic expectations. Your well-rounded technical knowledge will be essential in making development decisions based on cost and schedule considerations. Responsibilities + Design and build production tools, launch pads, and recovery systems. + Coordinate the build, testing, and activation of designed hardware. + Work closely with launch operations teams to ensure product expectations are met. + Present cost and schedule trade proposals to leadership. + Demonstrate proficiency in structural sizing, mechanisms, and design. Essential Skills + Bacheloru2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. + Experience using NX, CATIA, Creo, or Solidworks design software package. + Experience conducting analysis using ANSYS, ABAQUS, or FEMAP software. + Strong understanding of GD&T and its application. + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, parts lists, and specifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Masteru2019s degree in mechanical engineering. + 1+ years of experience in designing, analyzing, or building mechanical structures. + Project management experience in aerospace, industrial, or power generation industry. + Proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to lead projects to completion. + Passion for hands-on work to enable project completion.
