We are seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and repair of a commercial facility in Jacksonville. This role is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the building and grounds remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, and experienced in a variety of maintenance disciplines including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs. Key Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and minor HVAC support Conduct routine inspections of facility systems and equipment Complete preventative maintenance tasks on schedule Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues in a timely manner Maintain exterior grounds as needed (light landscaping, minor repairs, etc.) Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean work environment Coordinate with vendors or contractors when specialized repairs are required Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and materials used Qualifications 2+ years of experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, or handyman services Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general building repairs Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Dependable with strong attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to follow direction Valid driver’s license required Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work in various environments Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Stable, full-time schedule Benefits package available
