AVEVA PI Technical Specialist / Lead Consultant Role Summary The AVEVA PI Technical Specialist serves as a senior technical authority responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing realu2011time data solutions using the AVEVA PI System and CONNECT data services. This role works closely with customers to deliver scalable, highu2011impact industrial data platforms supporting advanced analytics, operational intelligence, and digital transformation initiatives across energy and manufacturing domains. Key Responsibilities + Act as a senior AVEVA PI consultant with 10+ years of handsu2011on experience across the PI software suite. + Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to design, configure, develop, test, and deploy realu2011time data solutions. + Lead implementations of PI Asset Framework (AF), including hierarchy design, standardization, and bestu2011practice consulting. + Execute PI system upgrades, OEE solutions, and PIu2013MES integrations. + Configure and support PI Data Historian components, including: + PI Vision / ProcessBook dashboards + PI AF Analytics, Event Frames, Notifications, and RtReports + PI Interfaces (OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PIu2011tou2011PI) + PI Adapters and Connectors + Develop custom integrations and extensions using C#, Python, and APIs. + Apply working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, data hubs, and data lakes; experience with AVEVA CONNECT Data Services preferred. + Define technical roadmaps, delivery plans, and solution architectures for complex, highu2011impact projects. + Produce comprehensive endu2011tou2011end solution documentation. + Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership across projects. Required Qualifications + 10+ years of experience with the AVEVA PI (OSIsoft) platform and components. + Strong expertise in PI AF, analytics, historian configuration, and system integration. + Handsu2011on programming experience with C#, Python, .NET, and SQLu2011based solutions. + Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. + Proven ability to work independently and deliver projects with minimal supervision. + Strong customeru2011facing communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Preferred Qualifications + Industry experience in energy, utilities, or manufacturing. + Experience with CONNECT Data Services, cloud deployments, or hybrid architectures. + Familiarity with SSIS, API/adapter development, and advanced analytics platforms. + PI System certification/accreditation (OSIsoft/AVEVA). + AWS or Azure certifications (optional but valued). Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: commensurate with experience This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on individual performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
