Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Lexington, Kentucky. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the company's financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and review invoices to ensure accuracy and proper coding within financial systems. u2022 Perform invoice matching and reconciliation to verify payment details and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Prepare and execute check runs in compliance with company policies and deadlines. u2022 Ensure proper coding of invoices to the correct accounts and cost centers. u2022 Manage the timely processing of payments while maintaining a high level of accuracy. u2022 Communicate with vendors to address and resolve payment-related inquiries and issues. u2022 Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable. u2022 Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and streamline processes. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. u2022 Strong knowledge of invoice processing, coding, and reconciliation practices. u2022 Proficiency in managing check runs and payment processing. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions. u2022 Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems. u2022 Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
