PURPOSE OF POSITION:This position is responsible to receive and ship grain from elevator, safely perform operations, and maintain the facility at The Arthur Companies. RESPONSIBILITIES:Receive grain and accurately load into the correct binsPrepare the grain to ship to named destinations as directed by operations leaderOperate scale to weigh inbound and outbound trucks and railcarsOperate conveyors and other heavy equipment to load trucks or railcarsOperate loader to run and clean out the bottom of the binsInspect and maintain a clean, safe and productive working environmentMaintain equipment and repair as needed such as grease bearings, repair holes, replace belts on motorRead and test sensors and bearings on the Hazard Monitoring system to ensure system is running efficientlyLog and report any malfunctions and issues to operations leaderParticipate in safety program by following all safety policies, and wear proper PPEAdhere to company policies and procedures set forth by the companyWork additional hours as assigned and/or during peak seasonsOther duties as necessaryQUALIFICATIONS:The ideal candidate will possess the following:High school diploma or equivalent preferredOne or more years of experience preferredMust maintain a driver's license and acceptable driving recordAbility to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationshipsWORK ENVIRONMENT: Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.Exposed to moving mechanical partsExposed to moderate to loud noise levels Occasionally exposed to oils, fumes or airborne particlesOccasionally work in high, dangerous places PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
