Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler Job Description As a vital member of the Manufacturing Team, you will perform complex mechanical, optical, and electrical adjustments and alignments on subassemblies and finished instruments according to manufacturing specifications. Utilizing your proficiency in multiple competencies, including the Assembler I role, you will review schematics or other instructions to determine operational methods, render and create tool modifications for parts, and apply basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles to production. You will work collaboratively with a focus on quality, effectively determining equipment malfunctions and routing work to the required area. Responsibilities + Assemble high-quality electro-mechanical and optical instruments, ensuring optimal performance by positioning, installing, aligning, and fastening units to assemblies, subassemblies, or cable harnesses. + Review schematics or other instructions to determine operational methods, and modify or create tool modifications for parts as needed. + Connect cables, tubes, and wiring according to specifications and solder electrical components as necessary. + Inspect, test, and adjust in-coming and in-process assemblies to ensure units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements. + Identify and resolve defects in assembly instruments, materials, or questionable conditions, reporting to the supervisor and documenting rework hours. + Inspect own work for quality, meeting company standards, and reporting quality issues immediately. + Work with Assembler III & Quality Assurance on continuous improvement projects, adhering to quality standards and procedures. + Meet product labor standards and standard run rate efficiency for assigned work. + Prepare and maintain accurate manufacturing production and maintenance logs, creating a Debug/Out of Control Action Plan for each operation. + Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Proficient knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly, including reading and understanding blueprints and schematics. + Experience with hand tools, power tools, and micrometers. + Proficient in wiring and circuit board assembly. + Ability to interpret mechanical assembly drawings and Bills of Material (BOM). + Proficient in quality control analysis and problem-solving skills, including 8D, Fishbone, and Root Cause Analysis. + Proficient computer skills, including Windows-based applications and Material Resource Planning Systems. + Experience in Lean manufacturing is preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficient customer care skills, demonstrating commitment and dedication to customer satisfaction. + Proficient operation monitoring skills, ensuring machines are working correctly. + Proficient knowledge of production and processing, maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
