Position Overview As a Residential Security Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and troubleshooting home security systems. After completing a paid multi-week training program, you will work independently in customersu2019 homes to install and program security equipment while delivering a high level of customer service. Key Responsibilities After training, responsibilities include: + Install and program burglar alarm systems, CCTV systems (IP & analog), DVRs, and basic access control equipment + Install door and window contacts, motion sensors, glass break detectors, smoke detectors, and other add-on components + Troubleshoot system, wiring, and connectivity issues as needed + Educate customers on the proper use of their security system and mobile applications + Complete job documentation, inventory tracking, and equipment verification accurately + Maintain a professional presence in customersu2019 homes at all times + Ensure installations are completed correctly the first time to avoid return visits (u201cgo-backsu201d) + Follow company installation standards, safety guidelines, and quality expectations Paid Training Program All new hires participate in a structured and paid onboarding program: + Week 1: Online Learning Management System (LMS) training + Week 2: Ride-along field shadowing with a senior technician + Weeks 3u20135: Hands-on installations under supervision until fully independent Training is paid at a designated training rate. Upon completion, technicians transition to the full technician pay rate. Schedule & Work Environment + Schedule: Mondayu2013Friday + Start Time: Must be ready to begin first job by 9:00 AM + Work is performed inside residential homes + Technicians should be comfortable working around pets, children, and a variety of home environments + Must be able to access attics, crawl spaces, and tight areas as needed + Overtime opportunities may be available but are not required Professional appearance, communication, and customer interaction are critical in this role.
