Senior Roadway/Highway Engineer - Columbus, Ohio - Job 26-00050Salary Range: $100k - $110K + Bonuses and Relocation Expenses Assistance - Permanent Position with BenefitsResponsibilities:u2022 Provide technical support and leadership for improvement, and/or construction of roadway and highway transportation infrastructure projects in the public and private sector including roadway rehabilitations, new roadway designs, interstate widening/expansions, roundabouts, toll-lanes, intersection improvements, and bridge rehabilitations.u2022 Provide guidance to junior engineers.u2022 Assist in the management, growth, and development of the company's transportation group.u2022 Represent projects and the firm at meetings and conferences.u2022 Make recommendations on project staffing.u2022 Assist with technical concepts in proposal development, preliminary design phases, and presentations to client.u2022 Assure that engineering services are commensurate with professional standards, client requirements, budget control scheduling, cost engineering/control, quality control and project objectives.u2022 Develop and maintain relationships with owners, contractors, and sub-consultants.Requirements:u2022 Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline (Master's Degree is a plus).u2022 10+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline and prior civil design experience.u2022 Professional Engineer license required in the State of Ohio (multi-state a plus).u2022 Proficient knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.u2022 Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; including active involvement in a variety of rehabilitation and new design projects.u2022 Working knowledge of relevant civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.u2022 Supervise/review a variety of design and analysis functions for road/highway and related projects.u2022 Supervise/review aspects of design including vertical alignments, horizontal impacts, cross-sections, super-elevations, and grading and permit/plan preparation.u2022 Supervise/review complex engineering computations and analyses, material quantity takeoffs, estimates and surveys.u2022 Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.u2022 Project management experience with small to mid-level projects including tracking hours and expenses for project work.u2022 Ability to plan and conduct inspections and investigations on various aspects of the construction and design of roadway/highway facilities, applying applicable regulations and policies.u2022 Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, discipline-specific design software (i.e., MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, InRoads, Geopak, GeoSlope, ANSYS, STADD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS), technology, math principles, predictive models, spreadsheets, and tools.u2022 Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.u2022 Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.Candidates may be required to submit to a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.Due to the large amount of resumes we expect to receive only the most qualified candidates will be contacted.
