Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Success POSITION DETAILS Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs (VPEMSA) serves as the Chief Enrollment and Student Affairs Officer for Bronx Community College (BCC), providing visionary, equity-driven, and data-informed leadership for all enrollment, advising, retention, student engagement, and student development initiatives from recruitment through graduation. The VPEMSA leads a comprehensive division that integrates the full student lifecycle, including admissions, financial aid, enrollment operations, retention strategy, student affairs, student conduct and judicial affairs, holistic supports, athletics, child care, and registrar services, to create a seamless, student-centered experience that reflects the mission and priorities of Bronx Community College and the City University of New York (CUNY). As a key member of the Presidentu2019s Cabinet, the VPEMSA collaborates closely with Academic Affairs, Administration & Finance, Workforce Development, Institutional Research, and Marketing & Communications to design, implement, and assess college-wide strategies that promote student belonging, increase enrollment, improve retention and degree completion, and strengthen the overall student experience. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: u2022 Develop and lead the Collegeu2019s Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Plan, ensuring alignment with CUNY enrollment priorities and BCCu2019s strategic plan (Bronx Renaissance 2031). u2022 Provide executive leadership for the full enrollment continuum, including recruitment, admissions, advising, financial aid optimization, onboarding, registration, degree auditing, and pathways to graduation. u2022 Advance evidence-based student success and retention initiatives, leveraging national best practices and CUNY frameworks such as the Student Experience Survey, CUNY Reconnect, Transfer Success initiatives, and Student Success Innovations. u2022 Use advanced data analytics and CUNY systems (SLATE, EAB Navigate, DegreeWorks, CUNYfirst, Coursedog, Tableau, Power BI, and CUNY dashboards) to evaluate enrollment trends, monitor student progress, and address equity gaps in persistence and completion. u2022 Promote a culture of belonging and engagement, ensuring that Student Life, Athletics, Veterans Services, Disability Services, and holistic supports are aligned with student needs and foster inclusive excellence. u2022 Provide leadership and oversight for the Registraru2019s Office, ensuring accuracy, compliance, timely reporting, and efficient academic operations. u2022 Guide the Early Child Care Center in supporting student parents, promoting family-friendly retention strategies, and ensuring compliance with NYC/NYS regulations. u2022 Strengthen K-12 pathways and community partnerships, including Bronx public schools, community-based organizations, and regional partners, to expand pipeline initiatives and dual enrollment. u2022 Collaborate with the Vice President for Administration & Finance to ensure strategic resource allocation, budget planning, organizational effectiveness, and continuous process improvement. u2022 Partner with Marketing & Communications to design, implement, and assess targeted student communication, recruitment campaigns, yield strategies, and re-engagement outreach. u2022 Ensure compliance with federal, state, and CUNY policies, including Title IV, ADA, Title IX, NYSED, NJCAA, and student conduct requirements. u2022 Lead crisis management, student case escalation, and cross-campus coordination for student support concerns, ensuring compassionate, timely, and student-centered responses. u2022 Represent the College on CUNY-wide committees and in external partnerships, advocating for initiatives, policies, and resources that advance enrollment, retention, student success, and institutional excellence. u2022 Perform other duties as assigned by the President. QUALIFICATIONS This position is part of the CUNY Executive Compensation Plan. A minimum of a bacheloru2019s degree and eight years of related executive or senior leadership experience is required. Preferred Qualifications u2022 A masteru2019s degree from an accredited institution; a doctorate in higher education, public administration, student affairs, or a related field is strongly preferred. u2022 Ten (10) or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in enrollment management, student success, student affairs, or academic administration. u2022 Demonstrated expertise in student development theory, retention research, enrollment management methodologies, and equity-centered student success practices. u2022 Experience working within a large, public higher education system; knowledge of CUNY policies, processes, and systems is strongly preferred. u2022 Advanced proficiency with student success and enrollment technologies, including SLATE, EAB Navigate, DegreeWorks, CUNYfirst, Coursedog, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools. u2022 Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams with skills in organizational change, strategic planning, and continuous improvement. u2022 Demonstrated success in budget management, resource allocation, and innovation in complex institutional environments. u2022 Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and coalition-building skills. u2022 Evidence of deep commitment to equity, inclusion, social mobility, and culturally responsive student-centered leadership. u2022 A successful record of partnering across divisions to advance shared goals in enrollment, retention, student engagement, and degree completion. CUNY TITLE Vice President COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The salary range is $180,000 to $195,000 , commensurate with education and experience.
