Job Description

Responsible for the basic through advanced maintenance and security of KANAs computer and phone network. Ensures software, hardware, and the network are functional, trouble shoots and provides technical assistance to authorized users by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned as related to position. - Supports the organizations mission and goals and quality standards. Incorporates KANAs core values of*Courtesy, Caring, Respect, Sharing, and Pride*in all activities and decisions. - Upholds KANAs Code of Ethics by conducting professional activities with honesty, integrity, respect, fairness, and good faith in a manner that reflects positively upon the organization. - Assists with installs and maintenance of desktop and laptop computers and peripherals and printers. Includes, but not limited to: fixing printer jams, replacing and/or ordering toner and other printer products, working with vendors for part replacement or troubleshooting, moving computer equipment from site to site, providing basic troubleshooting for common problems. - Provides preventive maintenance on all data processing equipment. - Prepares and performs user training curriculum based on current needs. - Maintains an accurate and current inventory of all data processing software and hardware. - Maintains accurate Active Directory descriptions and information. - Supports all authorized KANA user software applications and hardware. - Uses help desk software to respond to and track end user tickets. - Installs network cable. Be able to pull cable and terminate both ends (patch panel, wall jacks, and connectors). - Provides basic EMR (Cerner, Dentrix, RPMS) support. - Basic Active Directory administration (ex. account administration, folder/file permissions). - Assists with establishing and maintaining security of the LAN, WiFi, and WAN Systems. This could include performing security checks, installing patches or upgrades, giving security briefs when needed, and reviewing security products such as the anti-virus or anti-phishing services. - Performs support and configuration for KANAs telephone system. - Assists with Mobile Device Management and cell phone/iPad deployment. - Assists with server duties including installing patches, performing upgrades or migrations, and other duties as required. - Reviews server logs. - Collects pricing information and prepare purchase orders for computer equipment and software. - Prepares monthly P-Card reconciliation. - Creates and maintains accurate documentation for software and hardware installations. - Assists in the administration of servers to include Windows 2012/2016/2019 servers, Linux, and VMWare. - Assists in planning network wide projects. - Provides advanced EMR (Cerner, Dentrix, RPMS) support. - Documents process and advanced implementations. - Able to work problems independently with little to no oversight. - Serves as the senior support technician and escalation point for help desk personnel. - Supports the maintenance of business software systems and server systems utilizing both physical and virtual infrastructure. - Provisions and maintains network-based shared storage infrastructure. - Implements and maintains enterprise backup and recovery solution. - Assembles and configures network components and associated services. - Installs upgrades and configures network printing, directory structures, rights and security, software and files services. - Monitors server systems and recommends or performs actions to correct problems. - Coordinates activities with help desk, network service, or other information systems groups. - Provides update, status, and completion information to manager, problem request tracking system, and/or users, vi voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication. - Refers major hardware or software problems to vendor support personnel for correction. Requirements Technician II: At least one year of work experience in the field or one year of school with a technology emphasis or a combination of the two. Cisco or Microsoft certifications desired. Demonstrated ability to independently complete tasks with moderate supervision. Technician III:Three years of experience in systems support, including or supplemented by college or certification classwork in network and server administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Cisco, Microsoft, or VMWare certifications desired. Has ability to work independency with little or no supervision. Knowledge of scripting, database and website technologies desired. EEO Employer
