Job Description The Application Support Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, oversight, and ongoing management of the software applications associated with ongoing hospital operations. The primary goals of the application support analyst are ensuring excellent functionality, performance, reliability, security, fault-tolerance, and operational continuity of the hospitalu2019s applications, and all of the IT-dependent business functions for which they exist. The application support analyst will communicate effectively verbally and via written forms. Additionally, analyst will demonstrate and maintain industry specific knowledge and judgment associated with the specific area of expertise. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Skills and Requirements u00b7 Oracle Cerner Millenium Patient Accounting (CPA) build/maintenance support experience (not OPA) u00b7 Understanding of the data model. u2003u2003o Tables u2003u2003o When users click u201cXu201d where does that field write in the backend? u00b7 Ability to do bill code and price uploads using .csv files and backend scripts u2003u2003o If you have more than a handful of charges that need updated, this is the difference between it taking weeks or months and hours u00b7 Basic understanding of clinical workflows and registration processes u2013 this helps you understand where your charge data is coming from, why you are or arenu2019t getting a charge from a certain clinical workflow, etc. u2003u2003o For example, whatu2019s the difference between generating radiology charges in Cerner and general lab charges? u00b7 Higher end CCL skills u2003u2003o Ability to construct own queries and update statements to fix large amounts of data quickly and extract data that may not be visible from a front-end standpoint u00b7 Experience working in Revenue Cycle/Cerner Patient Accounting u2003u2003o Knowing about where data goes in electronic claim files u2003u2003o Being able to write claim rules in profit claim manager u2003u2003o Being able to create work items (queues) and use profit business manager to write rules to assign encounters to them u2003u2003o Being able to write custom tokens to use in profit business manager (goes with high end CCL skills above) u00b7 Experience working with patient access workflows u2003u2003o Being able to view registration conversations and understand how data entered there will eventually flow downstream to charges and claims, how it impacts your work queues u2003u2003o Know how to work with your reg analyst to make sure required data is being captured upstream during registration process u00b7 Ability to complete basic clinical workflows to test charges u2003u2003o For example, if weu2019re building a new radiology charge, can I go into Powerchart in non-prod and do the radiology workflow to the point of generating a charge so that I can validate my build? Otherwise, can engage a clinical team, but then youu2019re dependent on them and their free time to help you validate something.
