Our rich diversity of people and ideas makes us a stronger, more innovative organization.Position Summary:The Project Controls I performs tasks related to the collection of data required to monitor project budgets and progress within an assigned Region or Division and assists in analyzing work progress by calculating/preparing various comparison reports, charts and tables.This role will develop an understanding of business components and implications specific to accounting for Construction Companies and will work to support the principles of Henkels & McCoy’s Project Management Methodology (PMM).We are looking for aProject Controls I to join our team in Kapolei, HI.ResponsibilitiesUnder direct supervision, support the Project Team bycollecting, reviewing, and validating financial datarelated to project cost measurement, customer billings, accounts payable, payroll entries, and fleet and equipment utilizationAssist in maintaining accurate and timelyproject financial recordsin accordance with company policies and project requirementsSupport the preparation and review ofcustomer billingsto ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract termsAssist in researching and resolvingaccounts payable and transaction discrepancies, partnering with Project Management, Accounting, and vendors as neededMonitor project activity for compliance withcustomer contracts, internal company policies, procedures, and administrative guidelinesSupport tracking and reporting ofproject costs, commitments, and variancesunder guidance of senior project controls or finance personnel.Assist with documentation and recordkeeping to support audits, internal reviews, and client requirementsCollaborate with project and operations teams to support effective financial controls and transparencyContribute to a high-performance team environment by ensuringroles, goals, and business relationshipsalign with company strategy and operational objectivesDemonstrate professionalism and integrity by leading through example, fostering an environment oftrust, accountability, and open communicationCommunicate clearly and constructively with project team members while maintaining personal accountability for assigned responsibilitiesPerform additional project controls and administrative support duties as assignedQualificationsUnderstanding of financial tools, general accounting principles, and ability to master H&M systems (WOS and PENTA)Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to interpret data/ statistical informationSolid computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applicationsVaried problem-solving skillsMinimum Educational Background:HS Diploma or equivalentMinimum Years of Relevant Experience:0-3 years of directly related work experienceWage Range:$21.92 - $32.84 hourly / DOEBenefits:401(k) PlanEmployee Stock Purchase PlanHealth, Dental, & Vision InsuranceVoluntary Life InsuranceVoluntary Short-Term & Long-Term DisabilityPaid Time OffHenkels & McCoy West, LLC. is an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities.
