Key job responsibilities u2022 Solutions oriented, proactive and flexible attitude; willingness to take an u201call hands-on decku201d approach u2022 Translating brand design standards and concepts in an innovative yet fiscally responsible way u2022 Working across a large portfolio and multiple banners with a diverse set of programs u2022 Manage the design process, interfacing with internal and external design partners u2022 Adapting site specific conditions metrics and standards to store designs u2022 Responsible for building data driven scope of work with internal stake holders, focused on servicing operating stores u2022 Responsible for development of FF&E and Du00e9cor packages u2022 Work with key internal and external stakeholders in the development and production of comprehensive design development packages u2022 Create presentation packages to communicate design with cross-functional teams and senior leadership u2022 Drive and create Schematic Design Packages u2022 Coordinate with Construction, Procurement and Operations Teams on budget and schedule considerations and value engineering efforts u2022 Manage consultants throughout all phases of design through the project lifecycle u2022 Provide Construction Administrative support as needed u2022 Archive completed drawings, redlines, and shop drawings u2022 Obtain landlord approvals per lease requirements u2022 Review and approves submittals and shop drawings u2022 Demonstrated ability in building and health codes, 3D visualization, and industry trends u2022 Demonstrated ability to communicate design vision in visual, written, and verbal formats u2022 The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills u2022 The ability to work effectively in an extremely fast paced, ambiguous environment A day in the life If you thrive in an ever-changing progressive environment, then we want to talk to you. About the team The Amazon Worldwide Retail Growth & Development, Enterprise Team leads the transformation of our existing multi-banner grocery locations through strategic remodels and innovations. We enhance the shopping experience by modernizing store layout, improving operational efficiency, and implementing the latest technology, all while stores remain open for business. Our customer-obsessed design approach focuses on creating seamless shopping experiences for both in-store and online customers, while ensuring our operations teams can work safely and efficiently during and after remodels. We specialize in executing complex renovations that elevate the Amazon experience across our established store network.Basic Qualifications- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite - Bachelor's degree, or experience as technical specialist in design and architecture - 5+ years of commercial retail design or architecture experiencePreferred Qualifications- u2022 Grocery experience strongly preferred u2022 Architectural or Interior Design FF&E background preferred u2022 Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Enscape, SketchUp, SmartSheet u2022 Knowledge of current sustainability trends and practices preferred u2022 Proven track record of owning projects from start to finish u2022 Ability to manage change though multiple projects in various phases of design u2022 Experience with design development, construction documents, permitting and construction administration u2022 Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an extremely fast paced, ambiguous environment. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
