Description Robert Half is partnering with an organization in Fairfield, looking for an Accounting Specialist on a contract-to-permanent basis. Duties: + Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation + Manage vendor invoices, customer billing, payment application, and cash receipts reconciliation + Investigate and resolve AP discrepancies, short payments, unapplied cash, and customer or vendor inquiries + Perform account reconciliations and support monthu2011end close activities related to AP, AR, and subledgers + Maintain controls and compliance with company policies, GAAP standards, and audit requirements + Partner crossu2011functionally with Procurement, Sales, and Finance to improve processes and resolve issues Requirements u2022 At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or a similar accounting role. u2022 Proficiency in an ERP outside of just QuickBooks u2022 Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other essential functions.
