Description We are looking for a skilled Divisional/Plant Controller to oversee financial operations at our facility in Cheektowaga, New York. This contract-to-permanent position requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual to lead accounting and financial planning efforts, partnering with plant leadership to ensure financial accuracy and drive strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing cost accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and process improvements. Responsibilities: u2022 Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and practices that significantly impact the facility's operations. u2022 Analyze financial data consistently, preparing clear and accurate reports to communicate site-level and consolidated financial statements to leadership. u2022 Collaborate with plant leadership to enhance financial performance and provide comprehensive accounting and financial planning support. u2022 Align departmental financial strategies with organizational goals to support long-term success. u2022 Foster strong internal communication regarding financial objectives across all levels of the facility. u2022 Assist the plant manager in managing inventory working capital while identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities. u2022 Oversee and prepare detailed monthly and quarterly financial reports, including ad hoc analyses to support decision-making. u2022 Coordinate and manage all audit activities to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. u2022 Lead efforts to improve material margins and support key analytical projects. u2022 Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall financial and operational goals. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance. u2022 At least 5 years of financial management experience within a manufacturing environment. u2022 Proven leadership and management abilities with a track record of driving financial excellence. u2022 Strong background in cost accounting, budget development, general ledger management, and financial reporting. u2022 Experience collaborating with plant leadership to manage costs and improve financial operations. u2022 Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights. u2022 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with various levels of the organization. u2022 Familiarity with month-end close processes and manufacturing cost accounting practices.
