Job Description The New York City Business Integrity Commission (BIC) is a regulatory and law enforcement agency with jurisdiction over the trade waste industry and the Cityu2019s public wholesale markets. Businesses seeking to operate in these industries within the City of New York must, by law, apply to BIC and be approved by BIC for the requisite license or registration. BICu2019s goals include: to keep industries free of organized crime and other forms of corruption; to ensure that regulated businesses are able to compete fairly; that customers receive equitable treatment, and that regulated businesses do not present a harm to public safety and conduct their affairs with honesty and integrity. Under direction of the Deputy Director of General Services, the Procurement Analyst will assist with procurement duties in an accurate and timely manner, use the appropriate procurement methods, work closely with the Budget and Finance Unit and Executive Director of Operations, and ensure that all compliance rules meet BICu2019s procurement goals and standards. The candidate will also assist the unit with facilities-related tasks which support agency operations. Duties include, but are not limited to: - Create and maintain Vendor Payment files - Process vendor payments in a timely manner - Process Requisitions and Purchase Orders within multiple systems - Maintain and update procurement reports and databases - Maintain procurement records in Salesforce system - Assist in fiscal year-end close and beginning fiscal year start up - Special Projects as assigned - Liaison with storage facility - Backup supply room/mail Preferred Skills: Knowledge of New York City Procurement Policy Board (PPB) Rules Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Excellent organizational skills Self-motivated Attention to detail a must Ability to multitask Ability to work with multiple departments, agencies, and vendors Computer proficient Experience in PASSPort, FMS, and Salesforce is preferred.
