Major Responsibilities - Under general supervision, perform structural engineering design, including drawings, estimates and specifications for Parks facilities in support of Landscape Architect and Architecture projects. - Serve as Project Manager on structural engineering projects designed both in-house or through consultants and ensure that they remain on schedule and within budget. - Inspect sites and facilities; develop condition reports, recommendations, feasibility studies, scopes of work, drawings, specifications and estimates. - Present projects as required for approvals internally and externally with other agencies. - Conduct field inspections as required throughout the design process. - Review designs from consultants and/or other City agencies which impact Parks facilities. - May represent NYC Parks in relations with City agencies, contractors and their representatives, damage claimants and their representatives, consultants and the general public.
