Title: R&D Technician I Location: Columbus, Ohio (100% Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Pay Range: $24/hr to $27/hr (On W2) Shift Time: 8am to 5pm We are looking for a u201cR&D Technicianu201c to join one of our Fortune 500 clients. Job Summary: Analyzes verbal or statistical data to prepare reports and studies for use by professional workers in a variety of scientific areas. May be proficient in qualitative and/or quantitative lab methods. Includes all levels of education and experience. Supports the product development of nutritional liquid and powder products. Job Responsibilities: + Support product developers with the below activities: + Manufacturing product in research manufacturing facilities (request manufacturing line time, complete manufacturing instructions, request and weigh ingredients, assemble batches for processing and fill into containers). Weigh ingredients to support research product manufacture + Stage ingredients for developers to prepare for manufacture + Support ingredient management by tracking lot numbers and expiration dates + Support cleaning of weighing area and ensuring scale calibration + Coordinate analytical testing of product (prepare testing protocols, compile test results and build data tables, perform unit conversions). + Conduct qualitative product evaluations. + General product management (organize lab, coordinate research ingredients, enter formulations into development systems, complete manufacturing run summaries). Education: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Food Science or related field (a Masters or PhD is overqualified for this entry level position). + An internship or equivalent experience at a food company is preferred.
