Position Description & Qualifications Serco Inc. is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Sr. Manager, Treasury to oversee treasury and cash management operations for the North America Division at our Headquarters office in Herndon, VA . Reporting to the Director of Accounting , this role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and operational effectiveness across all treasury activities. The Sr. Manager, Treasury partners closely with Sercou2019s Global Treasury team to manage cash requirements and support daily treasury operations. This role requires a wellu2011rounded leader who can both dive deeply into operational details and assess broader financial impacts across upstream and downstream processes. This position interfaces regularly with stakeholders across the U.S. and Canada in Finance & Accounting, Procurement, Business Operations , and other corporate functions, and plays a key role in scaling treasury operations through best practices and technology enablement. Must be local to the DMV (D.C, Maryland, Virginia) area In this role, you will: Treasury Management + Oversee all cash management activities, including cash concentration, wires, account funding, and liquidity management to support working capital needs. + Manage intercompany cash activities, including intercompany lending and dividends. + Oversee banking and financial institution relationships; negotiate bank and service fees. + Execute treasury initiatives in coordination with Global Treasury, including optimization of international banking infrastructure and banking relationships. + Support financial planning and analysis efforts related to cash flow forecasting. + Monitor payment schedules to ensure adherence to payment terms and optimize cash flow. + Recommend and implement costu2011saving, profitu2011maximizing, risk management, and process improvement opportunities within treasury systems and processes. + Present treasury initiatives, analyses, and results to multiple levels of management. Accounting, Close, and Reporting + Ensure timely and accurate monthu2011end close activities related to treasury and cash management. + Perform and oversee general accounting activities related to treasury, including journal entries, subsidiary ledger to general ledger reconciliations, and intercompany account reconciliations. + Develop periodic reporting for senior management related to treasury activities, cash forecasting, interest, and dividends. Compliance and Internal Controls + Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of treasury policies, procedures, operational controls, and standards. + Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies to mitigate risk and safeguard financial integrity. + Recommend fraud mitigation practices and provide training to relevant stakeholders. + Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audits. Process Improvement and Technology Enablement + Serve as the treasury and banking systems subject matter expert and departmental administrator for treasuryu2011related applications. + Implement new bank technologies, products, and services to improve the cash cycle and simplify operations. + Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, automation, and cost effectiveness across treasury and payablesu2011related workflows. + Respond to internal business user requests related to treasury and APu2011related system functionality. + Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in coordination with business and technical teams. + Lead or support system enhancement projects and participate as a treasury/AP subject matter expert in system upgrades and implementations. + Test system changes to ensure performance aligns with design expectations and resolve issues as needed. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement + Partner with internal stakeholders including Global Treasury, Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, Vendor Management, Risk Management, Facilities, Legal, Tax, Payables, Receivables, Human Resources, IT, and operations leadership to ensure alignment with corporate objectives. + Communicate effectively across departments and organizational levels to support treasury operations and initiatives. + Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. To be successful in this role, you will have: + U.S Citizenship + Bacheloru2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required + Minimum of 8 years of finance or accounting experience, including at least 4 years of direct treasury operations and cash management experience + Minimum of 2 years of treasury experience within a multinational business environment + Demonstrated experience designing, improving, and optimizing treasury and cash management processes + Advanced knowledge of treasury best practices, including financial regulations, tax considerations, and compliance requirements + Advanced understanding of cash forecasting, financial modeling, budgeting, and accounting practices + Familiarity with international payments, multiu2011currency transactions, and related tax compliance considerations + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels + Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proactive and solutionsu2011oriented approach + Proven track record of managing and optimizing financial processes + Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including strong Excel data analysis capabilities Additional desired experience and skills: + MBA, CTP, or CPA preferred + Experience with MS Power BI preferred + Strong working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint v8.1 or higher Company Overview Serco Inc.
