Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic $38u2013$42/hr 2nd & 3rd Shift Summary Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on industrial production and utility equipment in a heavy industrial environment. Responsibilities + Maintain and repair pumps, gearboxes, rotating equipment + Perform welding, fabrication, rigging, hydraulics, pneumatics + Troubleshoot mechanical issues and reduce downtime + Read blueprints and use precision tools + Support equipment improvements and train others Required Skills + Troubleshooting + Mechanical repair + Welding + Hydraulics & pneumatics + Blueprint reading + Rigging + Pump assembly + Industrial millwright/mechanic experience Requirements + Ability to climb stairs and work on upper floors + Strong safety habits + Reliable attendance + Ability to multitask and work in a team Environment Heavy industrial setting; some areas have strong fermentation odors. Fully stocked maintenance shop with tools provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago Heights, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
