Job Title: Maintenance Electrician OR Controls Technician - 1st Shift Job Description We are seeking a dedicated high level Maintenance Electrician or a Controls Technician for the 1st shift who is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment. This role involves spending 60% of your time addressing urgent issues, 25% on project work, and 15% on mentoring and coaching junior maintenance technicians. The ideal candidate must be adept at troubleshooting electrically up to 480v 3-phase, reading schematics and symbols, and using a multimeter. Familiarity with PLC functions, including modifying logic and adding or removing devices, is essential. The role also requires the ability to read and follow ladder logic, troubleshoot instrumentation, and make basic programming adjustments for cameras and vision systems. Responsibilities + Diagnose and troubleshoot production equipment issues. + Repair and maintain electrical systems up to 480v 3-phase. + Read and interpret schematics and symbols. + Perform PLC troubleshooting and make necessary edits. + Mentor and coach junior maintenance technicians. + Remote access and troubleshoot machinery using HMI and terminal access. + Train and develop other maintenance technicians. Essential Skills + 10+ years of experience in industrial multi-craft maintenance. + 4-5+ years of experience as a Controls Technician or Electrician. + Proficiency in troubleshooting motors, gears, and performing tear downs. + Ability to troubleshoot 480v 3-phase systems and electrical components. + Experience in PLC troubleshooting, editing, and basic programming. + Robotic programming experience, including teach pendants and fanuc programming. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associates or Bachelors degree in industrial trades or electrical programs. + Ability to program PLCs or robotics from scratch. + Experience with new equipment installations or upgrading machine lines. + Own tool set/bag with tools 1
