Description We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial finance expert to join our team as the Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the operational and financial framework of a growing equity investing business. The ideal candidate will oversee financial compliance, reporting, and operational strategies while supporting investment initiatives and fostering sustainable growth. Responsibilities: u2022 Develop and implement comprehensive financial processes, internal controls, and infrastructure to support the firm's growth. u2022 Establish and maintain key relationships with banking and brokerage partners. u2022 Collaborate with teams to align operational strategies with fund objectives, ensuring compliance with industry standards. u2022 Oversee compliance matters, including regulatory filings and adherence to all relevant financial regulations. u2022 Manage treasury functions such as cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning to support investment and fundraising efforts. u2022 Lead the quarterly valuation process for private investments, ensuring thorough audit documentation. u2022 Supervise fund documentation and structuring, including legal coordination for closings, side letters, and investor agreements. u2022 Conduct in-depth reviews of financial performance and business operations to identify areas for improvement. u2022 Develop strategies for cost reduction, working capital optimization, and debt minimization. u2022 Guide the organization through financial and operational transitions while ensuring profitability and efficiency. Requirements u2022 A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles, with at least 4 years in an investment fund managing public equities. u2022 Ideally, 2 years of experience in a Big-4 accounting firm. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are preferred. u2022 Proven expertise in fund management, compliance, and operational strategies for equity investment businesses. u2022 Deep understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards related to fund management. u2022 Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive organizational change. u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial operations, including cash flow analysis, capital management, and month-end close processes. u2022 Experience working with business systems and financial reporting tools.
