As a Lead Data Engineer,you are responsible for design, development, and support of datapipelines from multiple applications and sources to facilitate dataanalytics needs. Our team partners with Sales & Marketing, Finance, andOperations business users and data scientists to help develop datadriven insights and make data-driven decisions. The Lead Data Engineerworks with various data and BI tools and technologies, such as Python,SQL Server, Google Big Query, Google Cloud Composer, etc.Responsibilities Develop data pipelines from multiple sources using SQL,Big Query, and Python code. Develop SQL code or data flow to integrateand transform data from multiple sources into useful, consistent andeasily consumable data elements. Work with business analysts andbusiness users to understand data requirements and map into easyconsumable data elements. Provide ongoing enhancement and support fordata pipelines in the production environment. Understand critical needsof the business, identify and fix issues with a sense of urgency.Participate in discussions on design options and approaches, proposesolutions and develop the new capabilities. Perform and lead the codereviews to identify coding, process and functionality improvements. Workon troubleshooting, identifying issues and performance bottlenecks,problem solving and impact analysis. Follow the Scrum process and takeownership of Jira stories. Lead the junior developers, providedirections and guide them with development and support processes.Qualified applicants should apply at OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Qualified individuals must have a Bachelor of Science inComputer Science, Engineering or related field and 7 years ofprogressive Data Engineering experience required. As part of the 7 yearsof progressive Data Engineering experience required, the individual musthave: At least 7 years of experience working with ETL and SQLdevelopment At least 7 years of experience working with Enterprise DataWarehouse and Dimensional Data Model. At least 5 years of experienceworking with Python or .NET programming At least 5 years of experienceworking with cloud data platform, Azure or GCP At least 5 years ofexperience using analytical and problem solving skills includingindependently troubleshooting issues and determining and developing thebest solution while considering all impacts to the production system.
