Description We are looking for an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic legal team in New York, New York. This role involves working on high-stakes, complex disputes across diverse industries and jurisdictions. You will play a key role in managing cases from pre-trial through resolution, representing clients in intricate commercial litigation matters. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to develop effective litigation strategies. u2022 Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and other legal proceedings. u2022 Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, petitions, and affidavits. u2022 Oversee discovery processes, including document production and preparation of subpoenas. u2022 Prepare and execute deposition and cross-examination outlines. u2022 Advise clients on complex commercial disputes, providing strategic guidance and counsel. u2022 Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation or settlement conferences to resolve disputes. u2022 Collaborate with associates, paralegals, and support staff to ensure smooth case management. u2022 Handle a diverse range of cases, including contract disputes, regulatory matters, and tort litigation. u2022 Maintain clear and thorough communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders. Requirements u2022 NY Admission and 4-7 years of experience in commercial litigation. u2022 Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to produce concise and persuasive work. u2022 Excellent oral advocacy skills and the ability to present complex legal arguments effectively. u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines under pressure. u2022 Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to address intricate legal issues. u2022 Licensed to practice law in the State of New York and in good standing. u2022 Proficiency with case management software and related legal tools. u2022 Experience in civil litigation, contract negotiations, and briefing processes.
