Location: 1 California Street, San Francisco California We are currently looking to add a Corporate Banking Associate to our Native American Financial Services Team. Native American Financial Services provides corporate and investment banking services to Native American tribes and their business enterprises. Analyst/Associates at KBCM act as the primary day-to-day leaders for analytical support, including financial statement analysis and model development; valuation analysis; industry research; and the preparation of various presentations, pitch books, and documents including descriptive memoranda, management presentations, new business, etc. Associates interact with other bankers and clients, Associates play a crucial role in helping managing transactions and interface directly in the client relationship process. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: u00b7 Work with corporate bankers and investment bankers and product partners on strategic corporate finance and capital raising transactions u00b7 Generate ideas and analytical materials in support of new client meetings u00b7 Perform financial modeling and valuation analyses on public and private companies: comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and leveraged buy-out analysis u00b7 Develop presentation materials for topics such as company positioning and financing alternatives, and strawman acquisition scenarios u00b7 Develop knowledge of relevant information resources: Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, Thomson Financial u00b7 Continually build knowledge and capabilities within the industry segment and stay abreast of competitive trends. u00b7 Assist with attracting a quality workforce, i.e. college recruiting activities. u00b7 Demonstrate the Key Values - - Teamwork, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, and Leadership. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: u00b7 Undergraduate Degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, Economics.) u00b7 1+ years of relevant experience u00b7 Strong quantitative skills, including financial modeling and financial statement analysis u00b7 Strong quantitative and communication skills u00b7 Strong team player with a positive can-do attitude and desire to be part of a close-knit group operating in an intensive and challenging work environment u00b7 Excellent organization and research skills u00b7 Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability u00b7 Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Licenses and Certifications u00b7 FINRA License S79 within 1-1/2 Yrs (required) u00b7 FINRA License S63 within 1-1/2 Yrs (required) u00b7 FINRA License S52 within 1-1/2 Yrs (required) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: u00b7 Previous experience in investment and/or corporate banking, including internships u00b7 Formal Credit Training u00b7 MBA COMPETENCIES: u00b7 Financial Modeling u00b7 Analytical u00b7 Master of databases: research, building presentations, deeper analysis of meaning of data gathered. u00b7 Communication Skills u2013 both verbal and written u00b7 Team Player u00b7 Strong detail orientation to compile pitch books. u00b7 Prioritize tasks. u00b7 Commitment to Excellence. u00b7 Credit knowledge COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $116,000.00 - $216,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
