Join our mission here at the Phoenix Job CorpsCenter as a Maintenance Helper.Provides safe, efficient and effective transportation for students.Responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of Centerfacility and grounds.May supervise Job Corps' Work-Based Learning students assigned to thedepartment.o Performs maintenance and inspections of Center's facilities andsystems to ensure functionality and prevent disruption of student andstaff services.o Completes, tracks and documents work status and notifies supervisor ofissues and concerns.o May supervise Work-Based Learning students to enhance student'semployability skills and provide industry- relevant training.o Provides students with timely and efficient student transportationservices as required.o Maintains appropriate vehicle documentation per DOL/Companyrequirements.o May be assigned to assist in other departments as required.o Schedules and delivers vehicles for preventive maintenance and repairsas necessary.o Conducts vehicle inspections and reports safety issues and concerns tosupervisor.o Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accuratemanner.o Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and workproductivity standards.o Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goalsand deadlines.o Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete allrequired job responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills requiredto perform job duties.o Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as requiredby the PRH.o Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable fortheir actions and behavior.o Provides quality services for students and ensures that quality ismaintained and student needs are met. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action istaken and that problems are in fact corrected.o Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensureeffective supervision and services are provided to students.o Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center DutyOfficer/Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarily perform jobresponsibilities of other departments and positions.o Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred.Prefer previous experience working with youth. Must possess and maintaina valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurabilityrequirements. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing,walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stoopingand crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or theability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessaryassistance.
