Job Title: Structural Welder Job Description We are seeking skilled structural welders to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will possess proficiency in Mig and Flux welding, the ability to read blueprints and tape measures, and the skill to adjust amperage/voltage on welding machines. Candidates must also be adept at grinding welds and welding in a 3G (vertical) position. Responsibilities + Read blueprints and drawings, and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. + Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. + Set up components for welding according to specifications, such as cutting materials with powered saws to match measurements. + Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding. + Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces. + Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, or overhead. + Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws. + Maintain equipment in a condition that ensures safety. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Mig and Flux welding. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measures. + Knowledge of setting amperage/voltage on welding machines. + Experience in welding in 3G (vertical) position. + At least 1 year of experience in a structural welding shop. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to pass a 3G Mig all the way out on a 3/8 plate on carbon. + Experience with 4G Mig all the way out on a 24-inch wide, 1/4-inch plate. + Capability to weld in vertical, overhead, and horizontal positions. + Experience in production and using a tape measure. Work Environment First shift hours are 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
