Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description The Warehouse Worker supports daily operations in an ink manufacturing facility by receiving, storing, moving, and shipping raw materials and finished ink products. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work in an environment that may include pigments, solvents, and chemical-based materials. Responsibilities + Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials including pigments, resins, solvents, and packaging supplies. + Accurately pick, stage, and prepare ink products and materials for production or shipment. + Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and drum handlers (as certified). + Label, package, and document finished ink products per company and customer specifications. + Maintain inventory accuracy using WMS, ERP systems, or manual logs. + Follow all safety, PPE, and environmental procedures related to chemical handling and storage. + Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse and storage area. + Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and material reconciliations. + Work closely with production, quality, and shipping teams to meet deadlines. + Properly handle waste materials and assist with spill response per EHS guidelines. Essential Skills + High school diploma or equivalent. + 3+ years of warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience (chemical or ink environment preferred). + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks. + Comfortable working around chemicals, pigments, and industrial materials. + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Additional Skills & Qualifications + General production experience. + Experience with cleaning and janitorial tasks. + Mechanical skills including using tape measures, rulers, and small hand tools. + Experience in packing, production, and material handling. + Proficiency with RF scanners, loading, shipping, and receiving. + Experience operating sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks. Work Environment The production facility is very clean due to working with solvents, yet expect an ink/paint smell and some dirtiness associated with the job. The work schedule includes 1st shift from 5 AM to 1 PM and 2nd shift from 1 PM to 9 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work. Training opportunities are available for operator roles, leading to pay raises upon completion. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fredericksburg, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
