An opportunity is currently available with a manufacturing company in Peosta through Express Employment Professionals. We are actively seeking a Die Setter to fill this position as soon as possible on 2nd shift. Key Responsibilities: Upholding the Safety Policy in day-to-day activities. Adhering to the Lock Out / Tag Out procedure. Removing and replacing stamping tools in presses using fork trucks. Securing tools in machines to ensure personal and operator safety. Setting tools to proper shut height following defined setup procedures. Ensuring proper installation and functionality of die protection. Training operators on machine operation as per instructions. Identifying and communicating ideas for continuous improvement. Directing operators' quality-related concerns to quality assurance personnel. Assisting with job setups in related supportive manufacturing functions. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned or modified at the discretion of Management. Required Skills: Proficiency in operating micrometers, calipers, protractors, or specialized gauges after training. Ability to follow written and illustrated setup and process instructions. Patience and dedication to enhancing the knowledge and skills of subordinates. Courteous and professional interaction as a team leader with various operators. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Excellent multilimb coordination and manual dexterity for lifting up to fifty pounds. Effective and professional communication with supporting departments.
