The Database Administrator will provide database development and administration in an Agile development environment as part of an integrated contractor-government team developing weapons system software and naval information system. Ideal candidate will be experienced with Oracle patching, restoration, disaster recovery, and auditing. Limited Remote work. Must live within commutable distance to Dahlgren, VA.0%An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.The Database Developer will provide database development and maintenance support in coordination with software developers and business application developers to created properly sized and properly functioning database structures for various business applications.Demonstrated ability to:Understand and be able to perform tasking as a technical resource in a Database Administrations teamServe as a point of contact for DB designWork with Oracle utilitiesCreate table spaces for data storage, setup of database objects (i.e., tables, indexes, triggers, stored procedures, views)Analyze data sets to detect data patterns/trends with the end goal of improving DB operationsAnalyze database to improve efficiency and functionality, then make the appropriate adjustments as necessary to optimize the DBSet up access control measuresThe Database Developer will provide database development and administration in an Agile development environment as part of an integrated contractor-government team developing weapons system software and naval information systems.Experience understanding business processes and mapping those processes to SQL codeExperience troubleshooting customer reported issues through code and/or data analysisExperience reading product specifications and implementing those specifications using SQL and UNIX scriptingBachelor's of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science, or another IT-related fieldCompensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.The projected annual compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 (USD).
