JOB SUMMARY: The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of all guestrooms and public areas in compliance with H&H standards. This role coordinates repair and maintenance programs, ensures efficient and economical operation of housekeeping activities, and supervises housekeeping staff to uphold high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position provides supervision to others: Yes u2022Oversees housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. u2022Ensures compliance with hotel policies and cleanliness standards. u2022Coordinates with other departments to maintain seamless hotel operations. JOB FUNCTIONS: u2022Hires, trains, and supervises all housekeeping personnel. u2022Prepares daily Room Attendant assignments, schedules staff, and submits records to the General Manager. u2022Directs daily cleaning services for guestrooms and public areas. u2022Continuously updates room status and verifies reports with the front desk. u2022Inspects guestrooms, linen rooms, and public areas to maintain cleanliness standards. u2022Schedules special cleaning tasks, including carpet shampooing and window washing. u2022Ensures Room Attendants report needed repairs to the maintenance department. u2022Maintains monthly inventory of housekeeping supplies and linens. u2022Ensures staff compliance with uniform and grooming standards. u2022Maintains payroll records, housekeeping reports, and requisitions. u2022Purchases cleaning supplies and ensures proper usage. u2022Ensures employee compliance with hotel rules and reports any violations. u2022Manages distribution and recovery of Room Attendantsu2019 keys. u2022Develops and executes an inspection program to ensure cleanliness and sanitation. u2022Establishes and maintains housekeeping and laundry schedules based on occupancy levels. u2022Ensures adequate staffing for housekeeping operations based on occupancy demands. u2022Controls labor costs while maximizing service efficiency. u2022Assists in preparing the annual housekeeping budget and maintaining cost control. u2022Evaluates employee performance and administers disciplinary actions when necessary. u2022Recommends staff terminations when required. u2022Identifies and implements new housekeeping methods to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. u2022Maintains control over linen rooms, storerooms, and cleaning supply security. u2022Coordinates housekeeping support for events and meetings. u2022Performs other duties as assigned by management.
