Position Summary City WineryEvent Captains will coordinate the day of logistics with the Manager on Duty(MOD) to execute the Banquet Event Order (BEO) from a front of housestandpoint. They will participate in food and beverage service as outlined bythe MOD, coordinate with the Chef on duty in the kitchen, and presentthe standards as outlined in the Events SOP Training. City Winery EventCaptains will provide high level hospitality to the client and guests. Overview of Responsibilities u25cfCoordinate with and execute the plan of the MODfor all onsite event logistics for day prior, set up, hands-on execution, andthrough post-event breakdown u25cfAbility to connect and communicate with MOD toreview logistics and provide on-the-floor support, including but not limited toensuring the event is performed and delivered according to client expectations u25cfEnsure the event is maintained to the higheststandards and run successfully u25cfMaintain positive brand impressions to developlasting relationships with clients and guests to retain business and increasegrowth u25cfWork directly with Event Sales Team, ExecutiveChef, Winery Department, GM and FOH Managers, and any other internal partnersto secure event needs for execution u25cfCarry out service strategy as set forth by MOD u25cfFrequently check in with the MOD to ensureservice standards, event timeline, and event menu are being executed to theexpectations of the client u25cfOrganize, print, and distribute detailedBanquet Event Orders (BEOs) with approval of MOD, to be passed along to otherdepartments (i.e. Front of House, Kitchen, etc.) to ensure smooth execution onthe day of the event u25cfMaintain inventory of equipment, place andreceive rental orders and organize rentals for pickup u25cfEnsure the venue is fully prepared andorganized for the execution of the event u25cfCoordinate with MOD to assist with outsidevendors, including but not limited to; equipment load in and load out andoverall rental equipment organization u25cfOversee printed collateral: menus, labels, etc. u25cfEnsure completion of post event tasks u2013including room resets, organizing rental equipment for pick up, and operationalsupplies remain organized for the next shift all based on expectations set byMOD u25cfOther duties, projects, and tasks as perbusiness need Minimum Qualifications u25cf Minimum 2yearsu2019 experience in event operations management, or equivalent relevantexperience u25cf Provenbackground and knowledge of strategizing and executing on-premise events u25cf Appreciationand general understanding of the music, food, and wine business u25cf Exceptionalattention to detail and organizational skills; results oriented u25cf Ability totake direction from MOD u25cf Aptitude toresolve troublesome situations with poise u25cf Exceptionalhospitality and customer service skills u25cf Proven eventoperations skills and commitment to operational excellence u25cf Ability tosuccessfully multitask, delegate, and coordinate several tasks at once in fastpaced, high volume environments u25cf Exceptionalcommunication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal u25cf Able andwilling to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, andholidays u25cf Functionalknowledge of the health department and related regulations u25cf Ability toperform physical requirements of position including standing and walking forextended periods of time, bending, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying upto 50 lbs. u25cf Must befluently literate in English including ability to read, write, communicate,conduct basic business-related mathematics, and be able to accurately functiona POS About Us Wine, food, andlive entertainment collide at City Winery to create a dynamic and incrediblyunique workplace.
