For more information, visit SolomonEdwardsPosition Summary:We are seeking a Senior Canadian Payroll Specialist to join a leading retail and consumer operations organization with a North American footprint. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for Canadian employees across multiple pay cycles while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations._This is a remote position working Eastern Standard Time hours: 8:30 AM u2013 5:00 PM._Essential Duties:u00b7 Process payroll for approximately 500 Canada-based employees across multiple pay cycles.u00b7 Ensure compliance with Canadian payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.u00b7 Review payroll data regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies u00b7 Research, correct, and adjust payroll errors in a timely manner.u00b7 Support year-end payroll processes, including T4, T4A, and RL-1 filings.u00b7 Collaborate with HR, Accounting, IT, and external vendors on payroll matters.u00b7 Generate standard and ad hoc reports for compliance, tax, and business needs.Qualifications:u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.u00b7 2u20133+ years of Canadian payroll processing experience required.u00b7 Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements.u00b7 Experience with payroll reporting, auditing, or data analysis.Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:u00b7 Experience with ADP and/or Workday payroll systems preferred.u00b7 Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll compliance and tax filings.u00b7 Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.u00b7 Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.u00b7 Strong verbal and written communication skills.u00b7 Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities.Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training.
