Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Plano, Texas, where you will play a vital role in managing financial operations for a variety of projects. This is a long-term contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise across multiple industries and accounting systems. You will work on diverse assignments, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting, while contributing to the success of dynamic and challenging projects. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare detailed journal entries and reconcile accounts, including cash, payroll, and prepaid expenses. u2022 Conduct monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses to support management reporting. u2022 Assist in the closing processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, including preparing financial close workbooks. u2022 Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures. u2022 Manage fixed asset ledgers, including depreciation schedules and reconciliation. u2022 Perform intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy across accounts. u2022 Analyze and present financial data in a clear and concise format for decision-making purposes. u2022 Maintain capital lease schedules and oversee monthly payments. u2022 Participate in department-wide initiatives and special projects as needed. u2022 Support ad-hoc reporting requests to address specific business needs. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including journal entries and reconciliations. u2022 Proficiency in using large accounting software packages and strong Microsoft Excel skills. u2022 Solid understanding of balance sheet account reconciliations and month-end close activities. u2022 Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work effectively in diverse industries. u2022 Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication abilities to manage multiple priorities. u2022 Willingness to take on challenging assignments and contribute to innovative solutions.
