Food Services Assistant - Primary Academy Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced and passionate Food Services Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience with cleaning and food service. The ideal candidate enjoys the convenience of a commercial kitchen environment. The Food & Facilities Services Assistant will support the Food Services Manager with all aspects of food service at LSC, including food orders, food storage, sanitary practices, meal prep, Child Nutrition Program (CNP) compliance, , and kitchen clean up. The Food/Facilities Services Assistant is responsible for assisting in cleaning the kitchen. This position requires effective communication and organizational skills, the ability to work in a time-sensitive environment, and strong math skills to keep costs within acceptable standards. Reporting to the Managing Director of Operations, the Food & Facilities Services Assistant position is an entry-level position funded to work 4-6 hours per day Monday through Friday and may work a split shift. Limits shopping for approved items and errands to center workday and/or before or after preparation and clean-up timesRecordkeeping, Monitoring and ReportingAssist in maintaining daily Inventory of food and food service suppliesAssist in completing/submitting kitchen/disposable and maintenance supplies order forms to Procurement when neededAssist Food Services Manager in maintaining inventory of kitchen appliances and equipment.Assist in maintaining a daily record of the number of meals served, the Child Nutrition Program menu production worksheets, cycle menus and recipes.Receives food orders, signs bills, and submits paperwork and bills to Accounting on the established schedule when needed.Supervision:Identify self-growth, development goals, and strategies for achievement with support and input from the mit and participate regularly scheduled meetings with the Managing Director of Operations to further professional growth by seeking feedback, reflecting on and assessing own practice, and taking advantage of opportunities to improve skills and pensationSalary range: The salary is commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and paid in accordance with the approved salary bands ($12-16 per hour) This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on individual and organizational performance and goal attainment.
