Job Description The Incoming Inspection Technician is responsible for performing inspections on purchased materials and sub-assemblies for use in medical device applications in compliance with client's Quality Management System, International Standards, and regulatory requirements. This employee will perform inspection activities associated with the release of materials to production, qualification of new and modified parts, and nonconformance investigations. Key Responsibilities: u2022 Measurement of parts, fixtures, tooling and assemblies utilizing appropriate tools and fixtures in accordance with approved procedures and specifications. u2022 Execute Quality Inspection tasks in SAP to ensure timely and accurate inventory control. u2022 Ensure equipment used complies with calibration and preventive maintenance requirements before use. Take appropriate action when deviations are found. u2022 Accurately document test data and observations, and retain paperwork and electronic records. u2022 Organize and summarize inspection/test results and prepare reports utilizing Good Documentation Practices (GDP). u2022 Review vendor certificates and inspection data to ensure compliance with client's specifications. u2022 Provide input for continuous improvement of inspection procedures, specifications and processes. u2022 Participate in internal, ISO and other audits. u2022 Initiate nonconformance reports on defective material and provide support to Operations to aid in the investigation and disposition of product. u2022 Assist in qualification/validation activities and perform actions to resolve issues and implement corrective measures. u2022 Convey raw material and product quality issues to management. u2022 Maintain working knowledge of all instruments used for routine and non-routine sample testing and troubleshooting. u2022 Work with internal and external teams to ensure work is commensurate to standards, acceptance criteria and quality policies. u2022 Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with customers, collaborators, vendors, co-workers and management. u2022 Other duties as assigned by management. Compensation: $22/hr. to $25/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Skills and Requirements u2022 2+ years experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing facility, preferably a regulated environment (e.g. automotive, aerospace, medical device). u2022 Associate degree, or equivalent work experience. u2022 Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and proficient with GD&T. u2022 Knowledge of metrology, materials, calibration, auditing and inspection techniques. u2022 General understanding of ISO 9001 / ISO 17025 / Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Good Documentation Practices (GDP). u2022 Must understand the concept of traceability (product, material, and calibration). u2022 Experience inspecting with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) desired.
