Construction Superintendent Job Description We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with a strong background in managing ground-up multifamily senior living construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of field leadership, technical construction knowledge, and strong coordination skills to successfully deliver projects ranging from $5 million to $50 million. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring jobsite safety, quality, schedule adherence, and collaboration across all project stakeholders. Responsibilities + Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for ground-up multifamily senior living projects from mobilization through project closeout. + Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Team during preconstruction to review plans, identify constructability issues, and support value engineering efforts. + Develop, maintain, and execute the project schedule; coordinate sequencing of trades and manpower planning. + Oversee daily construction operations, including subcontractor coordination, site logistics, inspections, and quality control. + Ensure all work complies with contract documents, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. + Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized jobsite while enforcing company safety policies and OSHA standards. + Coordinate and manage inspections with local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and third-party inspectors. + Track progress, document daily activities, and maintain accurate jobsite records, reports, and as-built documentation. + Lead jobsite meetings, including daily huddles, subcontractor coordination meetings, and safety meetings. + Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize schedule delays and cost impacts. + Manage punchlist activities and ensure timely completion of all closeout requirements. + Communicate project milestones, expectations, and responsibilities to all stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendors. Essential Skills + Preferred four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on field experience. + 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up multifamily construction projects, with direct experience in senior living or similar residential developments. + Proven experience managing projects ranging from $5MM to $50MM. + Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, phasing, subcontractor management, and site logistics. + Demonstrated ability to lead diverse project teams and drive projects to successful completion. + Experience with construction management software such as Procore or similar platforms. + Solid knowledge of safety standards and best practices; OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred or required. + Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
