Job Description This is a traveling position where all expenses are paid. Apprentices will travel frequently throughout Oregon, Washington, Utah, Nevada, Alaska, and Arizona. While travel will not be required every week in the long term, there are several upcoming projects necessitating frequent travel in the near future. A daily per diem of a minimum of $170 is provided, with the amount varying based on location. Responsibilities + Assist certified LEAs in hanging security cameras. + Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures. + Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate and correct the cause of breakdowns. + Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. + Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes. + Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment as needed. + Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure system compatibility and safety. + Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes. + Interpret blueprints to determine the location of wiring. + Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment. Essential Skills + LEA Apprentice Card Holder + Willingness to travel overnight almost every week, with all expenses paid and a per diem of $170+ per day depending on location + Clean driving record + Mechanically and electronically inclined + Experience with hand tools and power tools + Experience with access control, security cameras, wire pulling, and data cable Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with hanging cameras (preferred) + Experience with access control (preferred) + Experience pulling wire (preferred) + Positive personality, eagerness to learn, and excellent communication skills + Integrity, promptness, forthrightness, trustworthiness, reliability, and a commitment to excellence Why Work Here?
