Responsibilities: u2022 Represent clients in cases involving protection orders, family law matters, and housing-related issues. u2022 Collaborate with community advocates and partners to provide comprehensive support to survivors. u2022 Conduct outreach efforts to enhance legal protections and awareness for survivors. u2022 Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents to effectively advocate for clients. u2022 Engage in discovery processes and manage civil litigation as necessary. u2022 Assist in shaping the organizationu2019s legal program while working closely with a Supervising Attorney or mentor. u2022 Provide guidance and legal expertise to ensure the well-being of clients and the success of their cases. u2022 Participate in development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. u2022 Maintain a commitment to the organizationu2019s mission of supporting survivors and fostering community impact. Requirements u2022 Must hold an active attorney license or be eligible for admission in Nebraska. u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law or civil litigation. u2022 Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and conduct discovery effectively. u2022 Strong understanding of housing law, victims' rights, or family law preferred. u2022 Passionate about advocating for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. u2022 Excellent communication and collaboration skills. u2022 Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks efficiently. u2022 Willingness to relocate to Scottsbluff, Nebraska, with available relocation assistance.
