Job Description The New York City Administration for Childrenu2019s Services (ACS) provides summer internship programming for college students who are currently enrolled in college, graduating, and recently graduated from a college program. The ACS College Internship Program (CIP) is comprised of high-impact service projects led by ACS senior leadership as well as managers in program areas. All our programs are assessed as a critical service need relevant to children, families, and the communities the live in. Through our internship program, ACS will be recruiting 28 dynamic college graduate students to serve as Summer Graduate Interns in various administrative and/or research assignments throughout the agency and with community partners. ACS aspires to provide students with workforce skills and pathways to quality civil service careers with advancement opportunities. In addition, we strive to create opportunities for civic leadership and youth development. During this short-term, youu2019ll have the unique opportunity to add value as well as your voice to help ACS expand its reach to provide better services that will have a transformative impact on the lives of New Yorkers. ACS internships and projects include but are not limited to: - Assist designing community outreach and educational materials - Assist with gathering and editing success stories about the impact of ACSu2019 Community Partnership Programs - Meet other agency staff and program leads to learn about their programs - Draft and prepare subpoenas for service - Redact Case Records - Deliver and pick up items from various agencies throughout the city - Conduct community outreach activities - Assist in the implementation of programs and services - Develop and support partnerships and collaborations with ACS and other government agencies - Develop resource directories - Conduct literature reviews on juvenile justice related issues - Develop partnerships with cultural, business, and educational institutions - Assist with project management - Take inventory of tech equipment and prepare for distribution - Maintain the flow of transactions and requests for equipment and assistance - Configure computers, wireless technology, and applications ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Section 424-A of the New York Social Services Law requires an authorized agency to inquire whether a candidate for employment with child-caring responsibilities has been the subject of a child abuse and maltreatment report TO APPLY Please go to and search for Job ID #775636.
