Weu2019re seeking a Kitchen Facility Designer / Space Planner to join a large, wellu2011known corporation and play a hands-on role in shaping both new restaurant builds and remodels across an exciting portfolio of projects. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys thinking through how people move, work, and interact within a spaceu2014and turning those insights into smart, efficient, and code-compliant designs. What Youu2019ll Be Doing + Support new construction and remodel restaurant projects from planning through execution + Analyze customer and employee traffic flow to maximize efficiency and enhance the overall restaurant experience + Plan and adjust equipment placement and layouts to improve functionality + Redline and update floor plans, elevations, sections, and details in AutoCAD + Review shop drawings and coordinate with vendors and suppliers + Ensure designs comply with ADA guidelines and applicable codes + Contribute to architectural detailing and space planning + Lay out kitchen equipment, plumbing, utilities, and order stations throughout the restaurant footprint What Weu2019re Looking For + Experience producing construction documents, elevations, sections, and details in AutoCAD + Strong background in markups and redlining drawings + Exposure to commercial, retail, or restaurant projects (restaurant experience is a plus, not required) + Interest or experience in kitchen design is a bonus + Proficiency in AutoCAD; Bluebeam experience is a plus Why Youu2019ll Love This Role + Work on real, high-visibility restaurant projects + Be part of a creative, collaborative team in Chicagou2019s West Loop + Gain exposure to the full lifecycle of restaurant designu2014from planning to build-out + Blend technical design skills with real-world operational impact Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL.
