Position Summary... What you'll do... ABOUT THE TEAM: Walmart-Vizio's Embedded Software organization develops cross-platform UI application experiences for millions of Smart TV customers. Our teams build high-performance, visually polished interfaces running on embedded Linux-based devices. As part of our unified engineering organization, you will collaborate closely with product, design, platform, and system engineering groups to deliver exceptional endu2011to-end consumer experiences. WHAT YOU WILL DO: + Develop and enhance UI applications running on an embedded Linux environment. + Implement features within the UI engine and application stack with a focus on performance, smooth rendering, and system stability. + Contribute to design discussions and support development of distributed UI architecture components. + Build solutions that meet performance, memory, and device-level constraints across various SoCs. + Investigate and resolve issues across UI layers, middleware, and system integration points. + Collaborate with product, design, QA, and platform teams to ensure alignment on requirements and expected behaviors. + Participate in code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. ABOUT YOU: + MUST HAVE: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field. + 2+ years of experience with C++ or another systemsu2011level programming language. + Strong problemu2011solving skills and ability to understand complex system interactions. + Demonstrated ability to deliver highu2011quality code with attention to detail. + Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fastu2011moving engineering environment. + PREFERRED/NICE TO HAVE: + Experience developing UI applications for consumer electronics or embedded products. + Familiarity with React Native, React, or similar crossu2011platform UI technologies. + Understanding of GPU utilization , rendering optimization, or hardwareu2011accelerated graphics. + Experience working with resourceu2011constrained or memoryu2011limited systems. + Exposure to game loops, animation frameworks, or rendering stacks in embedded UI environments. + Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.
