Additional Locations: Statewide Wisconsin Primary Locations: TX, Dallas, 1999 Bryan Street, Suite 900, 75201, WI, Milwaukee, 6663 N 40th St, 53209 Requisition ID: 205859 Position Overview The UAM Pole Technician 1 is responsible for conducting inspections to assess utility structures and determine the need for treatment and restoration. This role can also encompass pole restoration tasks, such as installing steel trusses to reinforce the structural integrity of utility poles. This position requires collaboration with team members and mentoring new employees. Work assignments involve frequent travel, daily physical activity, and adherence to all safety standards. This position supports the inspection, restoration, and enhancement of utility infrastructure. This position is an individual contributor role, working in a field environment. _This position will be traveling throughout Wisconsin and many other states within the U.S. Travel and lodging are provided._ Compensation Data Starting Rate: 20/hr Performance-Based Reviews and Bonus' Travel and Lodging provided $35/day Meal Perdiem Overtime : Time and a half after 40hrs/wk, average work week 40-50hrs _6-hour working minimum_ Job Duties u25cf Conduct inspections of utility structures to assess their condition and determine the need for treatment and restoration. u25cf Utilize handheld equipment such as drills, tensioners, and crimpers. u25cf Provide guidance and mentorship to new employees in the field. u25cf Excavating holes around utility poles as required for site preparation. u25cf Backfilling holes upon completion of work. u25cf Assisting in the installation of steel trusses utilizing pneumatic equipment. u25cf Perform manual labor, including carrying and unloading equipment and supplies. u25cf Perform strenuous physical activities including extensive walking, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment. u25cf Maintain cleanliness and order at job sites including clean-up tasks. u25cf Professionally interact with landowners to ensure clear communication and understanding of site activities. u25cf Work and function effectively as part of a team. u25cf Conduct oneself professionally in public settings while representing Davey Resource Group. u25cf React safely and appropriately in emergency situations. u25cf Report and respond timely and accurately to the supervisor. u25cf Participate in employee and professional training events as assigned. u25cf Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75-100%) as required by project demands. u25cf Perform other related duties as assigned. u25cf Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
